Sold me a product that was unacceptable and when I pointed that out they told me it was okay

Sailcenter sold me numbers for a sail in red and sent them by one package. When they arrived half the sail numbers are different shades of red. I emailed and I was told that they had problems getting the numbers in the same colour. Then in the same email I was they told me that they would “weather” and become the same colour. If the materials are not available then they should not sell them. At no stage was I offered an apology or refund. I would never have purchased these products if the company had been honest they didn’t have the stock of sail numbers in the same shade of red.

Dear Colin, Thank you for your comments and review. Unfortunately, this story is true. The color red in this fabric is not a stable color and are supplied in different shades all the time. This is the way the fabric comes from the factory, and we have asked three different suppliers over the past years but color red has always been in different shades. So, to our regret, we cannot do anything about it. However, as a matter of fact, when the numbers are fixed in the sail they will color more the same after a while due to the sunlight. We are very sorry that we cannot solve this, but precisely because the color is so unstable, it colors very quickly due to sunlight. Best regards, Team Sailcenter

When I need something for my Laser i find it in Sailcenter

I live in Italy and I have a Laser Standard (now ILCA 7), I sometimes need parts, gears etc. but I have difficulty in finding them around me or on my usual providers, so I turn to Sailcenter where I am sure I will find what I need and that it will be delivered in a week's time at my address
