2 stars: worse than expected
Positive
No sign of malicious intent from the lawyer, but it was 60% a bad experience, 10% good, and 30% anxiety and confusion about the state of affairs.
The Lawyer assisting on my case was polite, and the debtor seemed like he was going to pay, albeit reluctantly.
However while the debtor offered to pay me directly I was informed by the Bierens Lawyer not to accept as all correspondence should be passed through him. The lawyer then went on Holiday for a month and by his return the debtor had lost any sort of fear or sense of urgency.
Appart from the loss of momentum, and the lack of urgency, I'd say the Lawyer seemed like he could have done a fabulous job. Maybe it was just that his holiday was scheduled before he agreed to work on our case.
Suggestions1. Even if your client is small and the payment is small... It is embarrassing for a client to be reminded of that. Especially if they came to you because a debtor has put them into money issues.
2. More empathy.
3. Please DO NOT seek and penalise the lawyer who I deliberately did not name, I bear him no ill will.
