Lovely sailing spoiled by condition of yacht and lack of communication from Portokali Aegina
We had a lovely cruise on “Portokali”, which was significantly let down by the poor general condition of the boat, and the standard of the customer service. Two phone calls regarding electrical issues and water ingress at the raw water intake, were not returned and no action taken. Although we probably should have checked more carefully, there was also a deficiency in the bedding for six for two weeks. On the plus side the boat was clean and sailed well, and was offered at a reasonable charter price.
There were three internationally qualified sailors in this crew, and just as well to overcome many of the yacht faults. Your team in Aegina need more hands-on management from Holland as there were lots of short-comings. We were supposed to receive and official Portokali Questionnaire at the end of our charter, but never did. If you are interested in improving the standard of Yacht Portokali in particular and your customer service from Aegina, then please send me the Questionnaire as I believe our answers will help you improve in many areas
We appreciate you holding the price for 2 years due to Covid, but sorry, this does not compensate for the poor condition of the yacht which is frequently used as your training vessel. It is in such a poor state that we suspect you are selling it this winter?
