Our visit with Durk in his studio in the charming, historic town of Franeker was a highlight of our Netherlands trip this summer! The studio and workshop carry a vast array of tiles from many different eras. Seeing firsthand the work of sorting, cleaning, and preparing these tiles for future installations gave us an even deeper appreciation for Durk’s craft than we’d had before. Durk himself has a thorough knowledge of...and love for... the history and content of the tiles he sells. He truly is an ambassador for this antique art form! Durk is also friendly and very quick to respond to requests and inquiries. We so enjoy doing business with him, and wish ALL of our vendors were such a pleasure to work with!

A visit to Regts Antique Tiles was a major highlight of my recent trip to the Netherlands. My daughter and I found it easy to travel to Leeuwarden by train and Durk Regts was kind enough to drive us to and from their gallery/warehouse outside of the city. The Regts family was very welcoming and hospitable. It is clear that they are passionate about the subject of historical, antique Delft tile. I had previously admired their tiles online and had ordered books from their website. It was even more exciting to see and handle the tiles in person. We were encouraged to freely browse through the boxes of antique tiles which were well-organized by age and subject. We also enjoyed a tour of the room in which the tiles are washed and cleaned. Although the quality and quantity of beautiful tiles made the choice difficult, I finally chose several which were shipped to me in the United States. They were very well-packed and arrived safely. I look forward to dealing with this family- run, yet supremely professional business in the future.

It was so pleasurable and interesting to deal with Mr. Durk Regts that I am wishing for a new tile project so that I may do it all again! From finding on their website a particular antique tile I had long been watching for and naming an initial inquiry, through purchasing and speedy international delivery, I was 100% satisfied Ruth this experience. Corresponding with Mr. Regts was like speaking with an old friend. I also learned about the history of my tiles.

I love everything about this company. Durk, the owner, was so helpful from start to finish. He helped asme calculate the amount of tiles that I needed. He looked at photographs of the tiles that I was matching and selected the perfect color match. He shipped the tiles off quickly. When some tiles came through chipped, he sent me extra. When I needed more tiles, mid-project, he got them to me fast. And when I needed more again, he sent more and wouldn't charge me.. I wholeheartedly recommend this company.
