Great service

I'm satisfied with the customer service. Also I like the way how they treat customers in general with flexibility and consciousness. The product is a great quality and I don't think you could get it cheaper in the market. That's a good thing you can configure your own device in your own way. Thank you for my new laptop. This is my first Linux laptop. I enjoy it.

Goed en niet goed

Niet goed :Wireless , Wifi en bluetooth waren niet geinstalleert en ook niet op de stick en daardoor liep er heel veel mis, Gelukkig was mijn zoon afgelopen zondag hier en heeft alles in orde gemaakt maar het koste behoorlijk wat tijd en dat inclusief het inloggen, Je moest als root inloggen en dat was nergens gemeld. de gebruiker zelf was geen sudoer. Totale tijd 4 uur om het geheel goed te laten lopen. De taal in Nederlands, dat is niet overal. Ik verwacht wel een Nederlandse handleiding , waar alles instaat . de handleiding is zeer summier Ik ben 83 en mijn Engels is niet heel goed. Goed: Verpakking en de werking laptop is prima

Beste Andries, Dank voor uw beoordeling! Jammer dat u ons beoordeeld met een 5/10. Echter fijn om te horen dat uw zoon u heeft kunnen helpen. Standaard is het iwlwifi pakket niet aanwezig bij Debian. Dat is omdat dit proprietary software (software met gesloten broncode) bevat. Het iwlwifi pakket is echter zeer eenvoudig te installeren en wij hadden u graag op verzoek de instructies toegestuurd. De standaard gebruiker heeft binnen Debian geen root rechten. Dit is standaard procedure voor Debian. Er is een aparte Root user waarmee u zich kunt aanmelden. Ook dit hadden we u graag willen aangeven bij navraag. Deze 'Quick Start Guide' is inderdaad beknopt. De betreffende handleiding beschrijft voornamelijk de aansluitingen van de laptop. Helaas ontkomen we er niet aan dat veel Engels wordt gebruikt in het computerlandschap en vooral bij Linux. Desalniettemin zijn wij momenteel bezig met het herzien van de quick startup guides en zullen deze in meerdere talen, waaronder Nederlands beschikbaar stellen. Mocht u dit wensen, wil ik u erop wijzen dat u de mogelijkheid heeft gebruik te maken van het 14 dagen retourrecht. Uiteindelijk wel goed om te horen dat de laptop verder prima werkt en de verpakking in orde is :)! Mocht u verder vragen hebben, horen wij graag van u! Comes with bad battery life and a stuck pixel, but everything was replaced.

The problems came more from UPS deliveries, and I had also a bad luck with a bad battery and a stuck pixel. However, Laptop with Linux had demonstrated to me that they're were communicative and helped me a lot during the deliveries, including the replacement of the battery and the screen. I had to wait one week or two but that's totally okay, first because of the distance between my country and theirs, secondly because the waiting is actually way worse in others stores for repairs. I think they did their best to make this laptop in a perfect condition. I have my laptop now and installed coreboot on it, it works very well. Thank you.

Hi Tom, Thank you for your review! We are sorry to see that you rated us with 3 out of 10, but it's nice that you still recommend us. Of course I understand very well that when you just got your new laptop and something doesn't work as you would expect, you seek immediate contact. Unfortunately, we cannot always respond immediately. Of course, we will solve all the problems you describe. We respond within 24 hours on working days. We are not in the office on weekends. It can be very busy at times. For example, last friday we had two employees sitting at home with COVID. You bought a laptop from us without RAM, SSD and Linux operating system preinstalled. You have most likely installed Linux yourself. Upon request, I would have been happy to send you the drivers, fixes and instructions you need to solve the battery life problem, among others. I understood from the email you sent us that the screen is not broken, but that you have 1 dead/lazy pixel, and wanted to run a program to revive the lazy pixel. We offer 30 days dead pixel warranty so if the pixel is dead we will replace the screen under warranty (without any costs). Apologies for the inconvenience with the delivery by UPS. It could be that they were very busy that day to deliver all the packages before the weekend. I know that the UPS drivers work on a tight schedule to deliver all the parcels they have with them that day. Nevertheless, they could have rang the bell at your home and not just call. We will therefore forward your complaint to UPS in the hope that they will improve their service. I hope, and expect, that we will solve all the problems you are experiencing. I have meanwhile given you answers to your questions by email. Update 15-06-2022: After contacting us, you said that you installed Gentoo Linux yourself. This is might by very well the reason why the battery life is poor. We do not (yet) offer support for Gentoo Linux. Update 07-07-2022: In the meantime, we have offered you, at our expense, a shipping label with which you can return the laptop to us. Although the lazy pixel was very difficult to see (only visible from 10cm of the screen), we replaced the entire display under the dead-pixel warranty, in addition to putting in a new battery and returned the laptop back to you. Comes with bad battery life and a stuck pixel, no replies within 24h.

I would like still to recommend them, but I have probably bad luck. Indeed, this is really not acceptable for me that the fact the laptop comes with broken screen and a bad battery for a new laptop that cost more than 1k. I have contacted them 2 days earlier about this problem but they are maybe extemely busy, I didn't get a reply yet. But other than that, it seems to be very good quality overall and it's truly made for linux kernel, works very well, and with some modifications it can support coreboot and an open EC firmware. I had also problems during delivery with UPS, depends on the guy but sometimes you can be sure that they won't care to come to your house if you don't call them back within the minute. Warning, if it's 10 minutes later, it's already too late for them to delivery. Maybe it's him who broke the laptop, I sadly don't really know, who knows. Anyway, as I said I still recommend due to the fact that you seem to truly get a personal computer. But it would be great that laptops would get tested before they get sent, or get a better delivery. For the rest it's awesome, but this made me really left with a bad experience, even if I wished to have a good one.

Flawless in hardware and in service

Needed new company notebook, so I did a laborious research on current market and endet up here. It's so much easier to know the hardware will be able to run Linux. I've got the Clevo with all the bells and whistles (i7, 64 GB RAM, 2 TB SSD, custom key and lid logo). The ordering process was simple and guided. For the lid logo there were a few open questions, so I added a note in the order and was promptly contacted to sort out the open questions. The result looks gorgeous. Once I received the notebook with the preinstalled Debian Bullseye it almost worked out of the box (the package firmware-iwlwifi was not preinstalled, I had to do this myself to get a working Wifi). I've used it now for over a week and didn't found any serious problems. I'm productive now.

Ik ben ongelooflijk tevreden!

Ik weet niet of ik ooit zo blij ben geworden bij het inkopen van een computer: - De prestatie is heel goed, hij is super snel (ik heb wel voor de krachtigste cpu gekozen) - Hij blijft vrij koel ook onder druk. Hij lijkt niet boven 50-60 graden te komen (ik heb wel voor de betere koelpasta gekozen) - Hij is heel stil, ook onder druk. Bijna niet te horen. - Ik vond het heel knap dat je een keuze kan maken voor de toetsenbordlayout - Ik kreeg de bezorging de dag na de bestelling. Dat vind ik heel snel aangezien er best veel keuzes zijn voor aanpassingen zoals cpu, geheugen etc. - Gezien de bovenstaande punten vind ik de prijs voor deze laptop uitstekend.

The great service and the great laptop

I was not sure about taking a laptop from these guys. I had been dropping them questions for around a year and always got answers back. Finally, I took a NV41MZ without NVIDIA and got excited about how it looked. It's slim and well-built with a hard frame. It has a full set of minimally required ports: 2 USB-A, 2 USB-C (with PD and driving additional monitors), HDMI, a Headphone/mic 3.5" jack port, and with outstanding 64GB RAM max. It's exactly what I need for professional use without any commercial garbage and "advanced technologies". Maybe letter prints on the laptop keyboard look not so much perfect. But it doesn't matter to me.

Very easy to specify and order a laptop.

Easy to explore options and costs for the laptop I wanted. Including a UK keyboard with European plug. I had a problem paying, caused by my bank. The laptop was reserved during this process and arrived in France safely 2 days after the bank transfer receipt.

The best laptop I have ever had...

I searched for a few months, looking for a custom-made Linux laptop. There are a lot of good companies out there, but ultimately I chose Laptop with Linux, and I am glad I did. I live in the United States and it was here in a couple of days. Seriously, I bought it on Tuesday (May 24th) and I received it on Friday (May 27th). I have had in-country Amazon orders take longer. Quality, the quality is unmatched. I am an IT Systems Engineer and I know substandard technology when I see it. The quality of this computer is better than any "big name, big tech company" you can think of. I cannot recommend them enough. You can guarantee that I will purchase from them again.

Makkelijk, snel en goed

Flawless

I ordered a PC70HS laptop online, it arrived surprisingly quickly in a couple of days to US West Coast. After the laptop arrived, I have been in contact with Peter. He asked if everything was good, and I had troubles with running an old game via Steam/Proton. I received clear instructions (all worked at first try) for benchmarking CPU and graphic card to making sure everything is fine with the laptop; eventually I found also a way to make the unsupported game run in satisfactory way. In summary: I recommend Laptop with Linux, since my experience has been excellent.
