Rugged Travel/Industry/Outdoors/Military Laptop With Surprising Performance
I ordered a Clevo L141AU because it resembles my favorite laptop (the Acer Aspire One), but it is powerful enough to be a coding and low-to-mid range 3D graphics workstation. It can run Godot Engine, Blender, and even Java IDEs (!) with no issues.
I loved my little Aspire One because it was lightweight, small enough to fit most anywhere, very robust, and it ran Linux with no issues. I kept that thing in my backpack while I walked, hitch-hiked, kayaked, and sailed for tens of thousands of miles across the world. It was my connection to the internet, and I learned how to code on it while attending a community college and later a university.
The Clevo L141AU is the same but with a 8 to 30 hour battery life (if you keep the screen brightness very low and turn off the keyboard back-lights), a very powerful modern I-7 CPU, and about half the weight and a larger screen. It's better in every way.
It handles day to day abuse without issue. I can't test it in the field because I'm too old and busted from my travels to repeat them, but nothing creaks or gives way that shouldn't, so it has my endorsement as a travel, outdoors, workplace, and military laptop.
My only complaints about it are that it does not lean enough into customization, and that it is not *MY* ideal outdoors adventure laptop... but then again I am not sane or normal!
However for any normal and sane person (not me), it is perfect.

Fans and lighting are the biggest power users, hence why most of my requests are for improved passive cooling and fewer or less blinding lights. That said, the standard passive cooling and battery life is excellent.
