BEFORE YOU START

Open two tabs, then install

Installing Shopify reviews is quickest if your Kiyoh account already exists before you click Add App in Shopify. Create one via register if you don't have one yet. Also, have your Shopify admin ready: only a user with app rights can authorize the Kiyoh plugin. The official listing is at apps.shopify.com/kiyoh-plugin. If you want the product description of the integration first, see the Shopify plugin page. Costs and packages are listed at pricing.

Kiyoh plugin — add and authorize

★★★★★ Official App Store listing

Add app → approve permissions → API key from the Kiyoh dashboard.

INSTALLATION

Five Steps from App Store to Test Run

Open the listing in the Shopify App Store

Go to https://apps.shopify.com/kiyoh-plugin or search for Kiyoh in the App Store. Ensure you have selected the correct store before proceeding.

Add the app and authorize

Click Add App. Shopify will show the permissions the plugin requires. Confirm the authorization so Kiyoh can view fulfillment events from your orders.

Paste the API key from the Kiyoh dashboard

Log in to Kiyoh, open Settings > API, and copy your API key. Paste it into the app settings in Shopify. Without this key, the store remains unlinked.

Set the invitation for 7–14 days after fulfillment

The trigger is fulfillment / shipped in Shopify, even with partial fulfillment. Set a delay of 7–14 days so the customer receives the package first.

Place a test order and check Kiyoh

Complete a test order to shipped. In your Kiyoh dashboard, you can see if the invitation is scheduled. Only then adjust live traffic to the integration.

AFTER INSTALLATION

Check the fulfillment trigger before going live

The app does not schedule an invitation when an order is created, but when Shopify marks the order (partially) as shipped. Check in Shopify if your fulfillment flow actually sets that status — otherwise, the scheduling remains empty. You set the 7–14 day delay after the integration; that's when most buyers have the product at home. The Shopify app is primarily intended for business reviews about the webshop. Product reviews on product pages and in Shopping feeds belong to the Kiyoh product product reviews; for the Shopify angle, also see Shopify product reviews.

  • Trigger: fulfillment / shipped, not checkout
  • Works with partial fulfillments too
  • Recommended wait time: 7–14 days
  • First test order, then production
